Coalition for a Secure Driver's License : Thursday, December 7, 2006 at the SOHO Loft Residence of Philanthropist Henry Buhl, The Coalition for a Secure Driver's License is a New York based not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, founded shortly after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Its members, which include 9/11 family members, recognize that driver's licenses played an instrumental role in the planning and execution of those attacks. The Coalition's single purpose is to advocate tighter identification requirements for individuals seeking driver's licenses within the 50 states, in order to prevent future terrorists from obtaining that critical form of ID. The Coalition educates American citizens, its legislators and the news media about the crucial need for license reform in this country. We have been enormously successful in bringing this important homeland security issue to the forefront of the national conversation. Tracy Stern's Salon Style "Harvest Dinner Party" : Saturday, December 2, 2006, Tracy & Adam Stern's Upper East Side Residence, New York City. Tracy & Adam Stern hosted an intimate and sumptuous Salon Style Dinner Party at their Upper East Side residence on a chilly Saturday night in December. There would have been more photos but this evening was not about work but rather partaking of all the delights prepared by Ms. Tracy Stern herself. Tracy Stern is a veritable "Renaissance Momtrepreneur". Tracy is the owner and founder of SALON TEAS, an accomplished painter, author (See: Tea Party: 20 Themed Tea Parties with Recipes for Every Occasion, from Fabulous Showers to Intimate Gatherings )and a full on Diva--without the attitude--who is also one of the most stylish and frequently photographed women on the New York Social scene, and a creative force in the kitchen. The woman has the midas touch. If you have not tried her teas you must. The most memorable part of the evening for me was dessert which consisted of Chocolate Pumpkin Cheesecake served with her homemade Chai Tea Latte. Yum yum! What a simple and lovely way to remind us "To Drink Tea, Enjoy Life and Celebrate Often."
