Thursday, October 19, 2006, Seventh Regiment Armory, Park Avenue and 67th Street New York City, The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center's 18th Preview Party for The Haughton International Fine Art and Antique Dealers Show: Over 1,100 patrons and guests, including a who's who of New York Society, came for the exclusive annual preview of almost a billion dollars worth of the finest art and antiques, presented by 65 dealers from three continents. The 18th Annual Preview Party for The Haughton International Fine Art and Antique Dealers Show, benefits The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, a volunteer organization that promotes the well-being of patients, supports cancer research and provides public education on the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer. The spectacular night was underwritten by Janna Bullock and luxury shoe designer Dr. Taryn Rose, who greeted guests in a receiving line with Society President Vera Safai, Event Co-chairs Joanne de Guardiola and Susan Bodnar Malloy, Junior Chair Eugenie Niven and Jamie Niven, who represented the Connoisseur Chairmanship that included Pat Buckley and Blaine Trump. The Honorary Chairs included Julia and David Koch, Evelyn Lauder and Leonard Lauder, Jessie Araskog, Muffie Potter Aston, Mary Davidson, Jamee Gregory & Karen S. LeFrak. Vice Chairmen included Courtney Arnot, Melinda Blinken, Tory Burch, Hilary Califano, Jan Calloway, Shelly Carr, Jennifer Creel, Bambi de la Gueronniere, Jackie Weld Drake, Webb Egerton, Emilia Fanjul, Somers Farkas, Anne Grauso, Audrey Gruss, Thomas H. Guinzburg, Gail Hilson, Robyn Joseph, Julie Kammerer, Eleanor Kennedy, Coco Kopelman, Heather Leeds, Ros L’Esperance, Cynthia Lufkin,Catie Marron, Helena Martinez, Lisa McCarthy, Grace Meigher, Georgette Mosbacher, Leslie Perkin, Pilar Crespi Robert, Alexandra Lind Rose, Donna Rosen, Hilary Geary Ross, Alexia Hamm Ryan, Helen Schifter, Christine Hearst Schwarzman, Kitty Sherrill, Dana Hammond Stubgen, Felicia Taylor and Patsy Warner. The Junior Chair was Eugenie Niven. The new Decorators Committee included Albert Hadley, Mario Buatta, Thomas Britt, Barclay Butera, Robert Couturier, Jamie Drake, Tony Ingrao, Randy Kemper, Richard Mishaan, Juan Montoya, Charlotte Moss, Carleton Varney, Bunny Williams and Joel Allen. The Golden Benefactors & Connoisseurs Preview began at 5:45 PM followed by a Benefactors Preview at 6:00 PM, Patrons Preview at 6:30 PM and Collectors Preview at 7:00 PM. Tickets started at $300 and went up to $5,000 for the Golden Benefactors. The Society raised over $850,000 to promote the well-being of patients, support cancer research and provide public education on the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer.
