The Associates Committee of THE SOCIETY OF MEMORIAL SLOAN-KETTERING CANCER CENTER hosted "THE BEACH BALL" its annual spring fundraiser. The event was sponsored by JCREW. Chairman: Christina Smith Vice-Chairmen: Leslie Coleman, Mary Darling and Leslie Heaney Event-Chairmen: Kimberly Flaster, Natalie Leeds Leventhal and Tinsley Mortimer. THE SOCIETY is a volunteer organization dedicated to promoting the well being of patients supporting cancer research and exclusively to cancer. providing public education on the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer. THE SOCIETY was founded in 1946 to raise funds for Memorial Sloan- Kettering Cancer Center, the world's largest private institution devoted cancer treatment and research. THE ASSOCIATES COMMITTEE was founded in 1984 to introduce a younger generation to the philanthropic and volunteer activities of THE SOCIETY. Proceeds from this event went to benefit the Department of Pediatrics.
