FUEL FOR TRUTH, a New York based non-profit Israel advocacy group held a Protest Rally In Support
Israel's Right To Self-Defense on Friday, January 9, 2009 in Midtown Manhattan in front of
News Corporation Headquarters,1211 Avenue of the Americas, New York City, NY. Volunteers from
Fuel For Truth denounced
Hamas for attacking Israeli civilians for years, questioned the media’s portrayal of Israel’s acts of self-defense arguing that Israel had no choice but to fight back. The protesters took 1,000 mock
Qassam rockets and laid them on the ground to try to demonstrate what they say Israelis go through each day.
"We feel that Israel, like America and like any other democracy, needs to defend herself when they are attacked by terrorism," said
Fuel For Truth executive director
Joe Richards. "If we allow terrorism to continue, it will spread across the world."
Fuel For Truth membership is comprised of volunteers, many of whom are young professionals working in New York tri-state area and who support Israel in its fight against terror. Notably, New York Mayor
Mike Bloomberg has and continues to
support Israel during it’s time of crisis.
Fuel For Truth’s rally in support of
