2009 Building Bridges Gala on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at
Guastavino’s, 409 East 59th Street (between First and York Avenues), New York City, NY. The evening honored two inspirational Americans,
Bob Woodruff, former Co-Anchor of ABC’s “World News Tonight,” and his wife
Lee Woodruff. Bob suffered severe head injuries from a roadside bomb while reporting from the war in Iraq, and Lee was instrumental in his recovery. Together they established a foundation focused on helping veterans who have suffered head injuries and psychological wounds to successfully re-integrate into society. Two-time Emmy Award-winning anchor of Inside Edition and best selling author
Deborah Norville served as Mistress of Ceremony.
