NEW YORK-OCTOBER 19: The 2009 NYU Cancer Institute Autumn Ball honoring Herbert Lepor, M.D. on Monday, October 18, 2009 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, 80 Columbus Circle at 60th Street, New York City, NY. Roberta Greenberg and Sandy Meyer served as Gala Chairs. Philanthropist Kenneth G. ("Ken") Langone and Robert I. Grossman, M.D., Dean and CEO of NYU Medical Center were in attendance at this special event. The 2009 NYU Cancer Institute Autumn Ball honored the talented Dr. Herbert Lepor, renowned for his superb research and patient care involving prostate cancer. The business attire gala celebrated NYU Langone Medical Center’s remarkable progress in the fight against cancer on all levels: patient care, research, education, and prevention. The gala is an exciting occasion to pay tribute to the nearly 80 physicians who have helped treat more than 50,000 unique patients at the Cancer Institute since 2004.
