This book is part of Roca Publisher’s “Azares and Virtudes” collection; dedicated to the personal and artistic lives of its mains characters. This event, presented by the writer herself offered the opportunity to know all aspects related to the book.
“La nieta de la Maharaní” relates the real history of Anita Delgado’s granddaughter –Malaga’s dancer who married Kapurthala’s maharaja- through several generations: her two grandmothers (Anita y Laila), her mother (Zahra) and the author. This extraordinary chronicle of these four women’s lives holds a profound and heartrending work of love, hope and cultural mestization that closes the circle of a story that begins and finishes in Spain one century later.
“La nieta de la Maharaní”, has already been presented in Madrid, Málaga, Sevilla and Barcelona with an excellent critics welcome.
“La nieta de la Maharaní”, was available at the event along with the signature of the writer. Furthermore,
“La nieta de la Maharaní” will be available on stores on April 28th. The writer was introduced by
Ms. Margaret Oliva, Chairman of the
SPAIN-US Chamber of Commerce and interviewed live by
Gemma Garcia, Spanish correpondent from
TVE. Wines for the post interview reception were provided by
BODEGAS MARTIN CODAX.
