Rebecca Minkoff, as Hamptonites gathered at the posh Colors of Hope Hamptons charity benefit to help raise money for Peace House Africa, a U.S. based, 501c non-profit organization committed to educating AIDS orphans in Tanzania, Africa. Celebrity fashion designer,
Rebecca Minkoff gracefully mingled with guests and was honored for her commitment to the foundation's mission. Passionate about her support of the cause, Minkoff explained,
"Peace House Africa helps provide the tools needed to achieve change in the region by producing graduates who can build sustainable businesses and create jobs for Tanzania’s suffering economy.” Other attendees including
"The Real Housewives of New York," Sonja Tremont-Morgan, and Justin Mitchell, publisher of Social Life Magazine cavorted with guests and sifted through deluxe gift bags while sipping specialty cocktails sponsored by Tequila Avion and Makers Mark. Other contributors included Audemer Piguet, Rita Hazon, La Prairie, Porsche Design, Vineyard Vines, Godiva,
The Setai Spa Wall Street,
Herman Miller, Essie, among many others. Co-Chairs of Peace House Africa's New York Chapter,
Bari Trontz and Victoria Protheroe, hosted the event at a private estate in Watermill on Saturday, August 7. Peace House Africa’s mission is to educate and nurture
Tanzania’s most vulnerable children.
