NEW YORK-NOVEMBER 16: The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center's (MSKCC) Fall Party Hosted by the Associates Committee & GUCCI on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at The Four Seasons Restaurant, 99 East 52nd Street (Between Park & Lex) New York City, NY.
The evening was co-hosted by Amber Heard and Dree Hemingway. The Co-Chairs were Allison Aston, Veronica Swanson Beard, Ferebee Taube, and Eleanor Ylvisaker. The Vice-Chairmen were Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss, Dara O’Hara, and Claudia Overstrom. The evening included cocktails, dinner, and dancing for a high-profile crowd of tastemakers from the worlds of fashion, music, arts, and philanthropy. Over 360 guests were welcomed in the poolroom by Associates Chairman Lisa Errico. Sotheby’s auctioneer Eliza Osborne led an exciting auction of exotic getaways and exclusive packages, including 5-star trips to Las Vegas and Casa de Campo, and the ultimate GRAMMY weekend Experience with GUCCI in LA. Following dinner, guests hit the dance floor and danced until the late hours of the night to music by DJ Jus Ske. The evening raised $340,000 for The Society’s Pediatric Family Housing Endowment, which pays for overnight stays when children and their families come from out of town for treatment at MKSCC’s renowned Department of Pediatrics and are unable to afford this expense themselves. The Associates Committee has pledged to raise $2 million over five years for the Pediatric Family Housing Program. In the past year, approximately 225 pediatric patients and their families were accommodated for over 1000 nights in New York City through this endowment. The housing program allows children the comfort and support of being close to their family while receiving cancer treatment, which can require them to be in New York City for weeks, or even months, at a time.
