NEW YORK-SEPTEMBER 10:
The FIT Couture Council Luncheon 2010 Honoring
Karl Lagerfeld with Fashion Visionary Award on Thursday, September 10, 2010 at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center, New York City, NY. The annual luncheon is a benefit of
The Museum at FIT. Simon Doonan was the master of ceremonies and Diane Kruger presented the Fashion Visionary Award to
Karl Lagerfeld. Luncheon Chairs included:
Amanda Brooks, Poppy Delevinge, Lauren Santo Domingo, Daphne Guinness, Amanda Harlech, Alexandra Lebenthal, Charlotte Moss, Liz Peek, Allison Sarofim, Diana Taylor, Lizzie Tisch, Virgine Viard and Lynn Wyatt.
The Museum at FIT is New York’s only museum devoted solely to the art of fashion. Proceeds from this event are crucial to the museum’s ability to mount world-class exhibitions and publications.
The Museum at FIT's upcoming exhibitions include Japan Fashion Now (September 2010-January 2011) and Daphne Guinness (September 2011-January 2012), both accompanied by lavishly illustrated books published by Yale University Press. The budget for such exhibitions, as well as well as our annual Fashion Symposium and exhibitions in our Fashion History Gallery, come in large part from the
Couture Council Award Luncheon.
