The New York Junior League held its annual Fall Fête on Friday, November 18th beginning at 6:30 pm. The event will feature the announcement of the NYJL’s 2012 Outstanding Sustainers and Outstanding Volunteers who will be honored at 2012 Winter Ball. It was held at Hudson Terrace, a venue tucked at the edge of Midtown along the Hudson River offering stunning water views. Guests enjoyed tasty provisions supplied by Red Stone Catering
Fall Fête 2011 Supports the Playground Improvement Project (PIP), and the East River Park will be the NYJL PIP recipient this year. One of the NYJL’s largest glittering fundraisers, Fall Fête hosted live and silent auctions accompanied by delicious appetizers, a cocktail reception, and dancing. Among the 10 featured Fall Fête live auction items were tickets to the world’s most celebrated lingerie runway event -- the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2012, starring supermodels and a bevy of Victoria's Secret Angels -- offered at an opening bid of $10,000. A moment of tribute and recovery wishes for NYJL Volunteer Marion Hedges, who was recently injured at an East Harlem mall, was also hosted during Fall Fête.
