NEW YORK-SEPTEMBER 8: PORSCHE DESIGN Celebrates VOGUE Fashion's Night Out on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Porsche Design Store, 624 Madison Avenue, New York City, NY. In collaboration with VOGUE magazine Porsche Design celebrated the after-hours shopping extravaganza Fashion's Night Out - at Porsche Design stores from New York to Berlin, Beverly Hills to Sydney and New Delhi to Dusseldorf. "A Global Celebration of Fashion" in New York City, an exclusive menu was served to customers and guests of the Porsche Design store on Madison Avenue in New York. Top Chef's Angelo Sosa welcomed the fashionistas and designed a special fashion menu which matches the city's vibrant atmosphere and the styles on display. The hors d'oeuvre consisted for example of a water melon gazpacho with sweet tomato jam and feta pearls as well as a pine nut and grape sandwich with blue cheese and micro celery.
The highlight at every Porsche Design Fashion's Night Out location was the orange Porsche Design P'1820 Scarf which is limited to 200 pieces all around the world. The silk scarf shows Ferdinand Alexander Porsche's very first sketch of the so-called "exclusive spectacles" with its revolutionary lens replacement mechanism. The sunglasses and especially the sketch from 1977 have been Porsche Design's first dedication to the world of fashion
