WHAT As New York City’s longest-running junior benefit, the Museum Dance brings together influential young philanthropists to celebrate and raise essential funds for the Museum’s scientific and educational programs, which enable thousands of underserved New York City school children to visit the Museum annually. The theme of the evening is Bright Young Things, in honor of the Museum’s upcoming exhibition Creatures of Light: Nature’s Bioluminescence. Guests were encouraged to dress in bright and bold colors.
The event began with an intimate dinner and dessert followed by dancing for all. Music provided by DJ Jus-Ske. Throughout the evening, there was a silent auction with luxury items from many of New York’s most exclusive retailers including a private shopping session with a consultant from Saks renowned Fifth Avenue Club along with a $1,000 gift card, two tickets to the New York Yankees Legends game and courtside seats to the New Jersey Nets, a two-night stay in the two-story Everglades Suite in the legendary Biltmore Hotel of Coral Gables, lunch for four at Chef Daniel Boulud’s newest restaurant Boulud Sud, a Fendi Anna handbag in brown leather, a Tobia made-to-measure suit and two dress shirts, a Townhouse Spa Signature Package, among others. All funds raised from the event benefit the Museum's scientific and educational programming.
