60th Annual Cardinal's Christmas Luncheon at the Waldorf Astoria : Thursday,December 8, 2005 Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York and The Ladies of Charity of the Archdiocese Annual Luncheon With The Cardinal, His Emminence Cardinal Edward Egan. Awards were presented to to Patricia Dillon and Mary C. McCooey for their charitable outreach efforts. Fox 5 News Anchor Rosanna Scotto served as Mistress of Ceremonies. Mary Higgins Clark served as Luncheon Chairperson alongside Corporate Chairpersons Joseph E. Spinnato and Thomas C. Quick. Other committee members included Audrey Butvay Gruss, Alfred E. Smith IV, Rusty Staub, Michael P. Smith and John D. Wren. The 22nd Annual Princess Grace Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street : October 26, 2005, Cipriani 42nd Street, New York City, NY. The Princess Grace Foundation-USA, created in memory of Princess Grace of Monaco to help aspiring artists realize their dreams of a performing arts career, chose Mikhail Baryshnikov as the inaugural recipient of the Prince Rainier III Award in honor of Baryshnikov's outstanding contribution to the arts. HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco presented the Award to honor the memory of His father Prince Rainier III. Joining HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco in bestowing the Awards were Bebe Neuwirth, Edie Falco, Isabella Rossellini, and Alan Cumming. Larry King served as master of ceremonies. The Event Chairs were Gillian and Sylvester Miniter. The Princess Grace Foundation's mission is to support emerging theater, dance, and film artists in America. The Awards Ceremony was followed by a performance by Natalie Merchant former lead singer of 10,000 Maniacs. Among the songs she performed were: Wonder, These are Days, and Carnival. Foundation Chairman, Hon. John F. Lehman said, "Mikhail Baryshnikov's dedication to nurturing young talent is exemplary; his commitment to artistic excellence, unsurpassed. We are happy to pay tribute to his efforts and support the creation of the Baryshnikov Arts Center ("BAC") at 450 West 37th Street, New York City, opens this fall as a laboratory for new work and a creative haven for emerging artists. New York Tomorrow's Leaders Host the Most Unique Auction & Cocktail Party at Forbes Galleries to Benefit the Community Coalition & Victims of Hurricane Katrina : September 22, 2005, 6:30-9:30 PM, Forbes Galleries at Forbes Magazine Headquarters, 62 Fifth Avenue at 12th Street, New York City-- The late Malcolm Forbes' daughter Moira Forbes Mumma along with co-chairs Chad Burkhardt, Christopher London, and Allison Weiss welcomed guests to the Forbes Magazine Galleries for The Community Coalition benefit auction and cocktail party hosted by New York Tomorrow's Leaders to raise funds for the Coalition and the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
