On Veterans Day, Friday, November 11, 2005, Financier, philanthropist, patriot, vineyard owner, art connoisseur (extensive Danish art collection on exhibit at the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center and the Bruce Museum) and diplomat Ambassador John L. Loeb,Jr, former Ambassador to Denmark, a prominent descendant of both the Loeb & Lehman banking families who can trace his family ties in America, back to the 17th century, was honored as Man of the Year by the Danish American Society at a Gala Dinner at the Rainbow Room in Rockefeller Center.
