NEW YORK-APRIL 21: Dr. Mehmet Oz & Lisa Oz Host HEALTHCORPS 2010 Gala: "The Garden of Good & Evil"- on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers, New York City, NY.
Dr. Mehmet Oz, M.D., heart surgeon, host of “The Dr. Oz Show,” and HealthCorps Founder and Chairman, and his wife, Lisa Oz, author of newly published book "Transforming Ourselves and the Relationships that Matter Most,” welcomed guests and long time Healthcorps supporters to Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers last night for The Garden of Good & Evil, Healthcorps's 2010 Gala. Healthcorps honored Tara Guber (Founder of YogaEd), Gary Hirschberg, (President & CE-Yo,Stonyfield Farm, Inc.), George A. Naddaff (Chairman & CEO UFood Grill ) and Kerry Rhodes, formerly of the NY Jets who is now with the Arizona Cardinals. The event also featured performances by 2-time Grammy Award-winner Caron Wheeler, Stepp Stewart, Eturnity Band and the rousing beats of Drum Cafe. The proactive health movement is fighting the obesity and mental resilience crises by getting American students and communities across the country to take charge of their health. Their three step approach of Educating The Student Body- their in-school program, Creating a FitTown- with community outreach and Advocacy- public outreach at the national state and city levels. Benefits from the Gala went to further Healthcorps mission to create a healthier more educated nation.
