Saturday, March 25, 2006 at a certain "CLUB" located at 370 Park Avenue, New York City-- The 3rd Annual Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball was organized and sponsored by the Friends of Henry Street, a committee of volunteers in their 20s and 30s, an event which raises significant operating revenue for the programs of Henry Street Settlment and their neighbors on the Lower East Side. The evening consisted of casino gaming; live music and dancing, featuring the band Total Soul Party, a performance by the Abrons Arts Center Dance Ensemble and the Midnight Parade of the "traditional" Krewe d'Henri and their rain of beads.
