Wanda Murphy Unveils her "In Memory of You" Collection at Ezair Gallery in Southampton
Sunday, May 28, 2006, 6-8 PM, Critically acclaimed artist Wanda Murphy opened her solo art show with a collection entitled "In Memory Of You" with a private reception at the Ezair Gallery, 136 Main Street, Southampton, New York. Wanda Murphy has exhibited her works throughout the East Coast and they are currently on display at the Ezair Gallery on Madison Avenue in New York City. Her works have been compared to Chagall, Modigliani and Picasso. Those admiring her use of color and lines and sipping on Palmes d'Or 1996 Champagne and Imperial Vodka cocktails included Frances Hayward, Jamee Gregory and Peter Gregory, Ann Dexter-Jones, Maggie Katz, Annie Churchill, Lucia Hwong- Gordon, singer/singwriter Samantha Cole, Countess Sharon Sondes and Geoffrey Thomas, gallery curator Marijana Bego, Michelle Herbert, Elaine Sargent, Alan Z. Feuer, Alice Judelson, Lisa and Anthony Punnett, designer Arnold Scaasi, Carole and Tim Reed, Dana and Dr. Patrick Stubgen, photographer Gideon Lewin and designer Joanna Mastroianni, interior designer Michael Burrell, Gillian Miniter and Sylvester Miniter, Mark Gilbertson, Pink Elephant Club owner David Sarner and his wife Renee, Valeria Kissel and Sean Olnowich. After the gallery show, Wanda hosted a dinner next door at Nello Summertimes's for her guests. The restaurant served its classic Northern Italian cuisine and afterward several people moved next door to the newly opened Safari-themed Nello Lounge. After dinner David Sarner moved the party over to Pink Elephant Club Southampton, at the Capri Hotel on Route 27.
