NutraCea and The Happy Hearts Fund Celebrate NutraCea's relationship with Happy Hearts Fund in Indonesia
Monday, June 25th 2007, Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, 2 East 91st @ 5th Avenue, Upper East Side, New York , NY 10128. NutraCea held an evening press reception and cocktail party to announce a relationship with Happy Hearts Fund founded by Petra Nemcova and the expansion of programs with Feed the Children. The cocktail reception was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with presentations starting at 7 p.m. Speakers included Brad Edson, CEO, NutraCea; Petra Nemcova, Founder, Happy Hearts Fund; and Larry Jones, founder, Feed the Children. The Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum provided a synergistic backdrop for the event as one if its current exhibits "Design for the Other 90%." features objects designed to aid the global population living below the poverty level and recovering from natural disaster. Happy Hearts Fund, founded by Petra Nemcova in 2004 after her survival from the tsunami, dedicates 30% of its funds to Indonesia. The mission of the organization is to aid children around the world who suffer hardship as a result of natural, economic, and health related disasters. Happy Hearts Fund brought aid to children in Indonesia after the earthquakes in 2006. Feed the Children is a Christian, international, non-profit relief organization, their mission is to deliver food, medicine, clothing and other necessities to children and families who have suffered due to famine, war, poverty or natural disaster. Programs established by Feed the Children have helped thousands of families around the world become self-sufficient members of their communities.
