The Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City hosts 4th Annual Fete de Swifty Benefit
Tuesday, October 2, 2007, 6-9 PM, 73rd Street, Between Lexington & Third Avenues, Manhattan, New York. 2007 Annual Fete de Swifty, to benefit public programs supported by the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City. This year's event will benefit the Family Justice Initiative,a unique public-private program administered by the Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence. Honorary Chairs: Nicole Kidman and Joe and Ali Torre. Benefit Committee: Liz Smith, Stephen Attoe, Robert Caravaggi, David Patrick Columbia, Deborah Krulewitch, Christopher Meigher, Gillian Miniter, Peter Rogers, Liz Finkle Sans, & Robert Speyer. Mayor Michael Bloomberg wowed a crowd of people on the Upper East Side that is not so easily wowed...by his mere presence. When Liz Smith graciously introduced him as the next President of the United States, all this editor could think is "If Only....If only Mayor Mike would throw his hat into the 2008 Presidential race ......and could do for the United States what he has done for New York." Mayor Michael Bloomberg is undoubtedly the best Mayor of New York City in my lifetime. And if he is not the next President, may he annoint an appropriate successor to continue the Bloomberg legacy and remain active on the Philanthropy circuit in New York City.
