The Center has been a leader in the outpatient treatment of children with cancer and blood disorders, combining world-class medical therapies and facilities with psychosocial and emotional support services for young patients and their families. “The physicians, nurses and staff at the Stephen D. Hassenfeld Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders provide not only cutting-edge cancer care, but maybe even more importantly, compassionate, personalized care, which creates a positive experience during a child’s fight against cancer and blood disorders,” said Robert I. Grossman, MD, dean and CEO of NYU Langone Medical Center. “And events like ‘Adults in Toyland’ play an essential role in our ability to care for children, regardless of their ability to pay.” Event-goers, stars, and socialites including Countess Luann de Lesseps, Dan Abrams, Pippa Cohen, Vivien and Alan Hassenfeld, Carol Alt, Christine and Richard Mack, Alice Tisch, Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch, Kimberly and Jonathan Schulhof, Marjorie Reed Gordon, Dori Cooperman, Amanda Smith, Amy Dwek, former NY Knicks star Herb Williams, LX-TV’s George Oliphant and Sara Gore, director Doug Liman and guest D.J.
