NEW YORK-OCTOBER 4: SPAIN U.S. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE CELEBRATES GOYA FOODS 75th ANNIVERSARY at A Posthumous Tribute Honoring Mr. Franciso Unanue, Founder of Goya de Puerto Rico (Goya Foods) and The Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at The Pierre Hotel, 2 East 61st Street, New York City, New York.
The Spain-US Chamber of Commerce celebrated, in honor of Goya Foods, a Gala Dinner commemorating its 75th Anniversary. On this special occasion, a posthumous tribute to Francisco Unanue, founder of Goya de Puerto Rico and also of the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce, was celebrated.
This Gala is one of the most prestigious and elegant events among the Spanish and American business communities in New York. Hundreds of distinguished guests including business leaders, culture representatives and society from Spain, the United States and Latin America, attended the widely recognized Gala of Goya Foods´ 75th Anniversary. The Gala was be hosted at the Pierre Hotel and commenced at 6.30pm.
Goya Foods, Inc. is the manufacturer and distributor of a well recognized brand of foods sold in the United States and many Latin American countries, with company headquarters in Secaucus, New Jersey. While the product line remains heavily influenced by its origins in traditional "authentic Latin American cuisine", Goya first branched out into Puerto Rican cuisine and South American and Central American foods. It has become the largest Hispanic-owned food company in the United States. In many grocery stores, Goya products either constitute a major part of the Hispanic section of an "ethnic aisle," or they are featured in some other form of monolithic display.
