“Fundraiser for Catholic Schools in Bridgeport Connecticut 2013”

March 4, 2013. The Yale Club, N.Y. N.Y. This was the second fundraiser reception for the benefit of the Bridgeport Catholic Schools, a group of six Catholic inner-city schools in Bridgeport, CT. The guest of honor of the fundraiser was Cardinal Sean O’Malley, Archbishop of Boston. The fundraiser was sponsored by the Connecticut organization of the Order of Malta. The cocktail reception was held at the Yale Club of Manhattan on Monday, March 4, 2013. The Bridgeport Catholic Schools educate 1,300 children of whom many live under the poverty line. The majority of the children are from minority groups. The students speak 13 different languages in their homes and 43% are from non-Catholic families.
